چکیده
Objectives: Upper limb explosive power is an important motor quality for sporting performance and indicates use of anaerobic energy systems. The Wingate Anaerobic Test (WAnT) has been considered to be a valid reliable tool the assessment functional elite athletes. However, it expensive lab based test requires skilled manpower. seated medicine ball throw (SMBT) inexpensive, easy assess since equipment required minimal, can easily used as field test. Hence, purpose study was determine if SMBT method could alternative WAnT so that inexpensive available athlete monitoring talent identification screening. Materials Methods: Male athletes aged 18–30 years ( n = 100), who were involved in national level competition three sports discipline, namely, Boxing 34), Wrestling Greco-Roman (GR) 36), Freestyle (FS) 30), tested on crank-arm ergometer measure peak or upper body. Results: results significantly positively correlated with body measured by all sportsmen r 0.55, P 0.0002). One sample t-test showed mean difference between close zero among Boxers 0.13) FS wrestlers 0.89) GR Wrestlers 0.49). Overall, 97% pairs within limits agreement sportsmen, showing using both tests agreeable. Conclusion: This suggests Wrestlers, Boxers, where involvement muscles take place predominantly. In addition, protocol this provides way coaches during also evaluate their training program.

Designing a specific upper body anaerobic power test for wrestling
Abstract The aim of this study was designing a specific upper body anaerobic power test for wrestlers and determining validity, reliability and objectivity of the designed test. In order to assess the anaerobic power of wrestlers on the basis of upper body Wingate test, Twenty two wrestlers (age=23/40±3/20 year, height=173/13±6/97 cm, weight=74/55±3/88 kg) of Tehran wrestling team (most of the...

PURPOSE The aim of this study was to develop reference values for the Wingate Anaerobic Test (WAnT) for peak power (PP), mean power (MP), and fatigue index (FI) in NCAA Division IA male athletes. METHODS Seventy-seven athletes (age 20.8±1.8 y, mass 84.4±9.4 kg, height 183.9±6.2 cm) participating in American football (n=52) and track and field (n=25) performed a 30-s WAnT resisted at 0.085 kp/...
متن کاملContribution of energy systems during a Wingate power test.
Six men performed a total of 23 modified Wingate power tests against 5.5 kp (53.9 N) resistance on a Monark 864 ergometer. Breath-by-breath VO2 was measured using a SensorMedics 4400 metabolic cart. Peak anaerobic power (highest 5 s; mean(s.e.m.)) was 819(16) W (11.1(0.6) W kg-1) and anaerobic capacity (work in 30 s; mean(s.e.m.)) was 18.2(0.2) kJ (248(11) J kg-1). Contributions of ATP-PC, glyc...
متن کاملLaboratory and Field-Based Evaluation of Short-Term Effort with Maximal Intensity in Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities
Results of previous studies have not indicated clearly which tests should be used to assess short-term efforts of people with intellectual disabilities. Thus, the aim of the present study was to evaluate laboratory and field-based tests of short-term effort with maximal intensity of subjects with intellectual disabilities. Twenty four people with intellectual disability, who trained soccer, par...
